The CEO of Credit Suisse is Tidjane Thiam, an Ivorian businessman, and former politician. Before working at Credit Suisse At Prudential, where he began as Chief Financial Officer in March 2008, Thiam served as Group Chief Executive. He has held the positions of board member and Chief Executive Officer in Europe at Aviva.
At the beginning of his career, Thiam worked for McKinsey & Company, helping banks and insurance businesses. After that, he spent several years in Africa working as the Secretary of Planning and Development in the government of CĂ´te d'Ivoire and as the Chief Executive and then Chairman of the National Bureau for Technical Studies and Development.
