Since October 2000, Thomas Tighe has held the positions of president and chief executive officer of the nonprofit medical organization Direct Relief International. Since Tighe's arrival, the organization has provided more than $1.3 billion in necessary medications, equipment, and supplies, as well as more than $30 million in cash grants, to support health care for low-income people in 88 developing nations and all 50 states in the United States.
