Thomas Heatherwick established Heatherwick Studio in 1994 with the intention of fusing art and building design into a single enterprise. On the team, landscape architects, engineers, and architects collaborate in a studio and workshop that also serves as a small-scale fabrication and prototype facility.
The studio's portfolio includes high-profile pieces of public art as well as commercial and residential building projects, infrastructure plans, and master planning initiatives. A new terminal at Changi Airport in Singapore and the Google headquarters in Silicon Valley and London are among the approximately 30 projects the firm is now working on across ten different nations (in collaboration with KPF).
