At Franklin Tennessee's Columbia State Community College, author Thomas Flagel teaches American history. He has published works on both World War II and the American Presidency in addition to the Civil War. Currently, Thomas Flagel is putting the finishing touches on a book on Abraham Lincoln. Flagel graduated with a B.A. in history from Loras College, an M.A.
in European history from Kansas State University, and an M.A. in international relations from Creighton University, and she also attended the University of Vienna. His doctoral studies at Middle Tennessee State University are now underway. Flagel is a regular speaker at the Gettysburg Museum and Visitors Center and is active in the preservation and education of the Civil War.
