Swedish Chamber Orchestra Chief Conductor Thomas Dausgaard is the Chief Conductor Designate of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. After serving as its Principal Conductor from 2004 to 2011, Principal Guest Conductor of the Seattle Symphony, Honorary Conductor of the Orchestra della Toscana (ORT), and Honorary Conductor of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra.
His broad discography of critically praised records and his electrifying live performances are known for his originality and ingenuity in programming. He frequently performs with many of the top orchestras in the world, such as the Munich Philharmonic and Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra in Europe.
