Tom Daschle is a member of the DLA Piper Global Board and a senior policy advisor in the firm's Government Affairs division. He was the majority leader of the Senate from 2003 to 2005 and a former US senator from South Dakota (D).

Daschle founded the Bipartisan Policy Center in 2007 in collaboration with previous majority leaders George Mitchell, Bob Dole, and Howard Baker. Daschle is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations as well as the boards of the National Democratic Institute and the Center for American Progress.
