Therese J. BorchardSpeaker and Booking Agent Information

Borchard's book Beyond Blue: Surviving Depression & Anxiety and Making the Most of Bad Genes, which was inspired by her blog, details her experience with manic depression and offers cutting-edge research and knowledge on how to deal with mood disorders.

consisting of twenty-one chapters and four parts Beyond Blue covers a wide range of subjects, including codependency, addiction, bad body image, postpartum depression, alternative medicine, psychopharmacology, controlling anxiety, and using what you've learned from therapy. Every chapter is amusing and serious at the same time because of her razor-sharp wit and Erma Bombeck-style sense of humor.

When Borchard was going through a difficult time and there was no one to turn to for support, her one constant thought was, "What would a therapist say?" The resulting book, The Pocket Therapist, serves as a type of therapeutic scrapbook for bad days and may be quickly consulted by anybody in need of some well-tested coping mechanisms.

The Pocket Therapist is a little, easily-read book that offers methods and suggestions for dealing with everything from addiction to negative thinking. The book offers 125 psychological "silver bullet" ideas that are precisely what the doctor prescribed to help you get through a stressful scenario, a terrifying circumstance, or a poor day.
