The Ting Tings are an English indie pop duo consisting of Katie White and Jules De Martino on piano, lead guitar, bass guitar, and drums (vocals guitar bass drums bass guitar, and cowbells). They started in December 2007 and are situated in Salford, England's Islington Mill Artist Studios.
The band released its limited-edition first single "Fruit Machine" the next year after being signed to the independent record label Switchflicker Records in 2006. Following a performance at the Glastonbury Festival in 2007, Columbia Records signed The Ting Tings. We Started Nothing, the debut album by The Ting Tings, was released in May 2008.
