Born in 1989, Jordan Witzigreuter launched his solo project, Ready Set, in November 2007. At age 10, he began playing the drums, which sparked his love of music. He started performing in bands at 14, and by 16, he was traveling with them.
Later, he discovered yet another outlet for his creativity by creating music and lyrics in an acoustic duet, which finally resulted in the creation of The Ready Set. For fun, Jordan decided to compile a Myspace profile with the songs he had composed. He issued an EP titled Syntax and Bright Lights in January 2008.
