Adeev and Ezra Potash are musicians, performers, and hosts of Travel Channel's "Southern Road Trip with The Potash Twins," dubbed the "Twin Horns of Joy" by NPR. "The Potash Twins," their most recent album, debuted at #9 on the iTunes Jazz Charts in 2015. The twins were motivated to pursue a career in jazz playing and instruction by jazz superstar Wynton Marsalis when they were young. The twins came to New York City after graduating from high school to further their education. Adeev studied at SUNY Purchase with Jon Faddis, a Dizzy Gillespie protégé, and Ezra got a full scholarship to Manhattan School of Music to study bass trombone. The twins have played at prestigious venues such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Birdland, Ginny's Supper Club (at Red Rooster NYC), The Minnesota State Fair Grandstand, First Avenue, The Dakota, The Fillmore (Silver Spring, MD), and The Field Museum (Chicago). They've played at a number of festivals, including South By Southwest (SXSW) and Summerfest Milwaukee, where they opened for music icon Joe Jackson, and they've also performed at Warren Buffet's Annual Shareholder's Meeting on multiple occasions. Due to their involvement in a nationally aired competition event in China, where they placed second, Ezra and Adeev have gained a big following in Asia. Even the Loews Hotel in New Orleans, the cradle of jazz, plays their music. The twins have become well-known in the food industry among chefs and foodies alike, having been dubbed the "Musicians of the Food World" by the Miami Herald. With a passion for food and the culinary world, the twins have been dubbed the "Musicians of the Food World" by the Miami Herald. They've performed at the South Beach Food and Wine Festival, the James Beard Leadership Awards, the Toronto Food and Wine Festival, Palm Beach Food and Wine (including Chef Daniel Boulud's infamous Sunday brunch at Cafe Boulud), Cochon 555, Chef Gavin Kaysen's Spoon and Stable, Chef Mike BUILDING BRANDS TO THEIR BOILING POINT Isabella's Kapnos Taverna, and at legendary Chef Ricardo Ricardo Ricardo Ricard Jon Batiste (bandleader for the Late Show with Stephen Colbert), Daniel Powter, Jack and Jack, Cody Johns, Tor Miller, DJ Lord of Public Enemy, Jonah Marais, Hudson Thames, and many more have all played live or in-studio with the twins. The Huffington Post called Ezra and Adeev one of the "15 Most Stylish Twins on Instagram." NPR, Town & Country Magazine, WGN TV, The Miami Herald, Sirius XM Radio (The Dave Koz Lounge), Menswear Style Magazine, Omaha Magazine, and many more have all highlighted the twins. To assist launch American Express' 2016 "Shop Small Offer," the Potash Twins were highlighted on American Express' social media channels. Governor Pete Ricketts gave Nebraska's highest honour, the title of "Admirals of the State of Nebraska," on Ezra and Adeev in 2015. Ezra and Adeev seek to disseminate jazz to a broader audience by leveraging their friendships. The Potash Twins worked as Artistic Directors at the Love's Jazz and Arts Center in North Omaha's historic jazz neighbourhood as part of their continuous efforts to raise awareness of jazz and live performance.
