The Kooks are an English indie music band founded in Brighton in 2004. The Kooks' current lineup is bassist Dan Logan, who took Max Rafferty's position in 2008, drummer Paul Garred, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Hugh Harris, and guitarist Luke Pritchard.
The Kooks had two albums that reached the Top 5, and several songs that got into the Top 40. While attending the Brighton Institute of Modern Music, the Kooks became friends. Former student Luke Pritchard was associated with vocalist Katie Melua while attending The Brits Performing Arts and Technology School in Croydon.
