The Jabbawockeez Biography

The Jabbawockeez is an all-male hip-hop dance group that is most known for winning America's Best Dance Crew in its debut season. Members Kevin KB Brewer, Phil Swagger Boy Tayag, and Joe Punkee Larot originally formed the band 3 Muskee. Ben B-Tek Chung, Chris Cristyle Gatdula, Rynan Kid Rainen Paguio, and Jeff Phi Nguyen were among their members by 2004. The Jabbawockeez do not have a leader; choreography for their shows, as well as music and design decisions, are all determined as a group. The Jabbawockeez premiered their own live stage performance, MÜS.I.C, at the MGM Grand Hollywood Theater in Las Vegas on May 7, 2010. They are the first dance crew to perform as the main attraction in a Las Vegas event. Members of Super Cr3w, the season two winners of America's Best Dance Crew, performed on the program, which lasted from May 7 to May 26. The Bangerz DJ collective provided the show's music, while Kara Saun created their outfits. The performance has now relocated to the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas and the Jupiters Casino in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, after its original run at the MGM Grand. In the spring of 2013, they will relocate to the Luxor Hotel and Casino. The Jabbawockeez have released an album containing all of the songs they performed at their MÜS.I.C event. It was published on iTunes on March 1, 2011. Since then, they've been encouraging fellow member Phil Swagger Boy Tayag, who was a member of the indie hip-hop trio KNGDM with his brother P.C. and pal Kilo, to help form JBWKZ Records. In 2010, KNGDM published The Goodbye Mixtape, which featured Tayag's song Ima Get It. On February 12, 2012, Tayag released the EP Privileged, which included two videos for Ima Get It and F N G on the Jabbawockeez YouTube account. P.C., Phil's brother, and a KNGDM member, was featured in F N G. JBWKZ Records published the album, which is accessible on iTunes. Chris Gatdula, another Jabawockeez member, directed the video for Ima Get It.
