Syd and Matt were the first two users of THE INTERNET. At the age of 15, Syd self-taught herself how to create and record. Additionally, she sings, giving each song a sensual, lyrical, quiet force. Matt makes music and plays the synthesizers. He is now 26, and she is now 23.
Like many romances in the post-modern era, the couple first connected on Myspace in 2008 before meeting in person in 2013. Prior albums by THE INTERNET include Purple Naked Ladies from 2011 and Feel Good from 2012. In 2011, THE INTERNET split from the Odd Future group to form their band.
