The Gaslight Anthem is a 2006-founded American rock group from New Brunswick, New Jersey. The group members are Benny Horowitz, Alex Rosamilia, Alex Levine, and Brian Fallon, who sings lead and plays guitar (drums, percussion). In May 2007, XOXO Records issued "Sink or Swim," the debut record from The Gaslight Anthem.
Despite favorable reviews from unaffiliated reviewers, the album did not significantly influence the Billboard 200 Albums list. The '59 Sound, their second album, was released by SideOneDummy Records in August 2008. Chris Wollard of Hot Water Music and Dicky Barrett of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones were guests on the Ted Hutt-produced album.
