American actor and former on-screen style icon Terry Farrell. She may be most known for her performances as Jadzia Dax and Becker as Regina Kostas in the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She considered acting alongside Kate McGregor Stewart after a year and a half of performing, but only as a last resort. Her first notable acting roles were as a model in the brief 1983 TV series Paper Dolls and a supporting role in Back to School with Rodney Dangerfield. She began thinking about acting with Stella Adler in the spring of 1989 and appeared in several visitor-starring roles in productions, including Quantum Leap and The Cosby Show. Her primary role in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was then made available. Farrell played Jadzia Dax, a Starfleet scientific official stationed on the space station and a member of the Trill alien race. She is the host of a 300-year-old symbiont and has access to the memories and knowledge of the symbiont's seven previous hosts. Later, Farrell co-starred in Paramount's TV parody production Becker. She acted as Ted Danson's John Becker's love interest and rival to Regina Reggie Kosta for a considerable amount of time—94 scenes—before Nancy Travis took her place.
