Terri Garber is an American actress on television and in movies. She is known for playing Ashton Main, a Southern Belle woman, in the three-part miniseries North and South. Garber, the youngest of three children, spent his formative years in Miami, Florida. Their mother ran a culinary school, while their father served as a legal counselor.
At 16, Garber made his professional acting debut at Miami's Coconut Grove Playhouse. She signed a contract that made her a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), and she decided to go to New York to and theatrical work.
