Ted Braun Biography

Darfur Now, Ted Braun's critically acclaimed first element film, was rated one of the top five narratives of 2007 by the National Board of Review and received the NAACP Image Award for the outstanding narrative of 2007. In addition, the International Documentary Association named him the 2007 Emerging Filmmaker of the Year in recognition of his efforts in creating and organizing the image. Along with Errol Morris, Oliver Stone, Robert Redford, and George Clooney, Braun was named one of the twenty-five producers whose work has impacted the world in a current issue of MovieMaker Magazine. At Amherst College, Mr. Braun received a Phi Beta Kappa degree with honors. At USC's School of Cinematic Arts, he is currently an assistant professor of screenwriting.
