She said, "I thought being your employer was the best thing in the world, and I loved my uncle for bringing tourism and cash to his old neighborhood and for accepting responsibility for what he brought to market." So, during her final year at Duke, Birgisson founded her company, MATI Energy, while residing in the cutting-edge residence, The Cube.
