Tara Moss is a Canadian-Australian bestselling author, journalist, documentary maker, human rights advocate, and former model. Raised in Canada, she began modeling as a teenager and worked internationally before transitioning to writing. She has authored 15 books published in 19 countries and 13 languages. Her early works include the popular Makedde Vanderwall crime thriller series (Fetish, Split, etc.). She later created the Billie Walker historical crime series, starting with “The War Widow” (2020), and released “The Italian Secret” (2025) as her latest. Moss is a vocal advocate for gender equality, the end of violence against women, and literacy. She has served as a UNICEF National Ambassador for Child Survival and received awards for her activism. She has also hosted documentaries and presented on television.
