Destined for a Cuban father and a Venezuelan mother, The animated character Tammy Trull, adaptable and joyful, picked up English while watching Sesame Street with her mother. She traveled to New York City after receiving her acting degree and was cast in ALL NIGHT BODEGA (an official choice at the Slamdance Festival).
In this awful movie, she portrayed Venus, a Puerto Rican adolescent who joins a nasty gang. At the Brooklyn International Film Festival and the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival in 2003, she was recognized for her role in this movie with awards for Best New Performance and Best Actor, respectively.
