Canadian musician, songwriter, and on-screen persona Tamia Marilyn Hill. Tamia, who was up in Windsor, Ontario, had indifferent singing and dancing talents as a little child. However, after signing a management contract with Warner Bros. Records, she was requested by legendary producer Quincy Jones to appear on his album Q's Jook Joint in 1994.
Their collaborative work on the songs You Put a Move on My Heart, and Slow Jams earned her Grammy Award nominations. Her 1998 self-titled presentation collection was followed by a string of successful releases with Elektra Records, including A Nu Day, and the possibilities are endless from there.
