Keith was selected to serve on the White House Correspondents' Association's governing body in 2018. In 2009, Keith became a Business Reporter for NPR. She covered various topics in that position, ranging from obligation reduction and emergency roof obligations to the most recent approach discussions of valid concerns and innovation patterns.

She covered the aftermath of Haiti's devastating earthquake in the middle of 2010 and shrouded the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. In 2011, Keith examined and exclusively discussed The Road Back To Employment, a 12-month project that included the honest diaries of six people in St. Louis who began the year without a job and seeking work.

Keith has deep roots in public radio and started her career in reporting by writing and narrating pieces for NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday as a teenager. She started her career at NPR Member station KQED's California Report while still in school, where she secured agribusiness, the environment, and state legislative problems.

She helped organize, produce, enable, change, and appropriate B-Side Radio, a 60-minute open radio show and digital broadcast, which Keith began producing in 2001.
