Tahmoh Penikett, a Canadian performer, was born in Whitehorse, Yukon, on May 20, 1975. He graduated from the Victoria Motion Picture School and studied acting at the Lyric School of Acting in Vancouver. He is the son of former Yukon leader Tony Penikett. He first appeared in the 1996 television movie Murder on the Iditarod Trail. Still, he didn't start acting professionally until the turn of the twenty-first century when he appeared in several TV roles. Early TV employment included guest appearances on Stargate SG-1 Dark Angel and The L Word, and work in several movies. Cold Squad, a Canadian police drama, was Penikett's first regular TV role. He made his television debut in 1998 and joined as Corporal Ray Chase for the show's last season in 2004. In an instant following, the deal was abandoned. Penikett started working on the reboot of the popular science fiction series Battlestar Galactica in 2003. He played the role of Karl Agathon, an official in charge of electronic countermeasures paired with Sharon Valerii, in the reimagined version of the 1970s program (Grace Park). He previously made an appearance in the miniseries, giving up his seat so that he could force a specialist into his Raptor and through security. The writers had meant to kill him off after the miniseries, but ultimately they, and the viewers, praised his performance, granting him a role in the next TV show. Launched in 2004.
