Tahmoh Penikett, a Canadian performer, was born in Whitehorse, Yukon, on May 20, 1975. He graduated from the Victoria Motion Picture School and studied acting at the Lyric School of Acting in Vancouver. He is the son of former Yukon leader Tony Penikett. He first appeared in the 1996 television movie Murder on the Iditarod Trail.
Still, he didn't start acting professionally until the turn of the twenty-first century when he appeared in several TV roles. Early TV employment included guest appearances on Stargate SG-1 Dark Angel and The L Word, and work in several movies. Cold Squad, a Canadian police drama, was Penikett's first regular TV role.
