Sverrir Gudnason, a Swedish actor of Icelandic descent, was born on September 12, 1978; his full name is Sverrir Páll Gudnason. Gudnason was reared in Reykjavik, Iceland, after being born in Lund, Sweden. He relocated to Tyresö, Sweden, with his family in 1990 after his father was hired as a professor at the Royal Institute of Technology.
He won the Best Actor prize at the 2009 Shanghai International Film Festival for his performance in the Swedish/Danish movie Original.
