Suzan Johnson Cook Biography

The honour and honour of serving the country's first African American president fell to Suzan Johnson Cook. From May 2011 until October 2013, Johnson Cook served as the President and Secretary of State's top worldwide religious freedom advisor after being named by President Barack Obama as the United States Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom. Johnson Cook was a television producer for NBC, ABC, and CBS. She has a prestigious background in public service, having worked with a Cabinet Secretary directly and served as a Presidential Advisor, White House Fellow, and Domestic Policy Council member. Additionally, she served as president of the communications, leadership, and political consulting business Moving Up Productions. She attended Riverdale Country School before graduating from Boston's Emerson College with a bachelor's degree in speech, cum laude. She also possesses two master's degrees, one in technology, from Columbia University. She also holds a doctoral degree. She was a faculty member at Harvard University and a graduate, instructing some of the world's most illustrious leaders in speech and communication. She graduated from the Amos Tuck Business School of Dartmouth College's Minority Business Executive Program. Johnson Cook wrote ten novels before entering the Department of State, three of which were bestsellers: Too Blessed to be Stressed: Words of Wisdom for Women on the Move, Sister to Sister: Volume One: Devotions for and from African American Women, and Becoming a Woman of Destiny: Turning Life's Trials into Triumphs are some books that offer advice to women on the move. She is also a religious leader, activist, analyst, businesswoman, and pundit. She is a White House Fellow. She has delivered more than 2,500 speeches and has been on the most significant TV and radio programmes, such as The Today Show, Good Morning America, FOX Midday, and The Dave Dinkins Show. Additionally, she is the host of the web series Conversations with Ambassador Sujay.
