Suz Somersall loved jewels and adornment as a young child in her former New Orleans neighborhood. She developed an incredible appreciation for design due to living in this lovely city with French and Spanish influences, rich engineering ensembles, and circumstances typical of New Orleans.
Her love for form and shape emerged when she explored the defined work of art of Kara Walker as an undergrad at Brown University and subsequently as an alum understudy at the Rhode Island School of Design. She continued to pursue her excitement for the plan at Tuscany's ateliers and by herself in Japan.
