Susan Stanton served as the city manager of Largo, Florida, until she was fired. From 2009 to December 2011, she served as the city manager of Lake Worth, Florida. She is the City Manager of Greenfield, California, at the moment. She grew up in the New York Catskills.
Stanton is married to Donna Becker, with whom he shares a teenage son called Travis. After revealing that she is transgender and considering sex reassignment in February 2007, Stanton became the focus of national and international media attention, prompting Largo city commissioners to begin the process of terminating her contract as city manager, a decision that Stanton was appealing.
