The CEO and creator of Susan Burnett Consulting is SUSAN BURNETT. For the past 35 years of her career, she has devoted herself to creating exceptional leaders and thriving workplaces where both the company and its employees can flourish. Her career started off at HP, where she worked in global marketing services, organization development, and personnel management. She left HP to oversee talent management at Gap Inc., where she worked with the CEO and board to reorganize the business for growth and create a solid leadership pipeline. After that, she joined Deloitte where she oversaw the creation of DU and developed a new talent strategy for the company. Burnett joined Deloitte and then joined Yahoo! as SVP of talent. She now works on creating leaders at all levels, particularly female leaders. She is an instructor at Antioch University Santa Barbara where she teaches a ten-month certificate program in leadership geared for mid-career women leaders and teaches values-based leadership to women. The Designing Your Life Lab at Stanford is also led by Burnett. Burnett is a co-author of "Hewlett-Packard Takes the Waste Out of Leadership" for the Journal of Organizational Excellence and the author of a commentary on executive education for the Harvard Business Review.
