At California State University Channel Islands, Dr. Sohn is the Smith Professor of Economics. He is also the head of the University's Institute for Global Economic Research (IGER). He sits on the boards of Western Alliance Bancorporation and the Southern California chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors. Dr.
Sohn was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hanmi Financial Corporation, a Los Angeles-based commercial bank. Dr. Sohn worked for Wells Fargo Banks as an Executive Vice President and Chief Economic Officer before joining Hanmi in 2005.
