Dr. Ablon, chief of Think: Kids at the psychiatry department at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), has expertise in treating hazardously disappointed children and teens as well as their families. In addition, Dr. Ablon serves as the Director of the MGH Psychotherapy Research Program and an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychology in the Harvard Medical School Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Ablon already served as the Center for Collaborative Problem Solving's co-founder and co-director. The highly regarded book Treating Explosive Kids: The Collaborative Problem-Solving Approach is co-written by Dr. Ablon. The DVD/video Parenting the Explosive Child: The Collaborative Problem-Solving Approach features him as well. Dr. Ablon has written a number of distinct parts for articles and logical papers on social evaluation and psychosocial interventions for children with problematic behavior difficulties. The American Psychological Association, the Mood and Anxiety Disorders Institute, the National Institute of Health, and the Endowment for the Advancement of Psychotherapy are a few organizations that have supported his research. Dr. Ablon completed his predoctoral and postdoctoral training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School before earning his Ph.D. in clinical brain research from the University of California, Berkeley.
