Belgian vocalist, songwriter, and producer Stromae is noted for his sharp appearance and brand-name tie. His music blends hip-hop elements with the cold, clean rhythms of house music and other types of electronic dance music. On March 12, 1985, Paul van Haver had the idea for Stromae in Brussels.
Van Haver's Rwandan father abandoned the family when he was a young child, and he seldom saw him. He was reared by his Belgian mother and developed a love of music at a young age. Van Haver started playing the drums at L'Académie Musicale de Jette when he was 11 years old.
