American ska band Streetlight Manifesto hails from East Brunswick, New Jersey, and is the brainchild of Tomas Kalnoky. On August 26, 2003, Victory Records released their debut album, "Everything Goes Numb," which was released by the band. On December 9, 2003, the band performed at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and it was a sellout.
A few members of Streetlight Manifesto were well-known in the New Jersey third-wave ska scene for their work with earlier ska-punk bands from that region, including Kalnoky's Catch 22 and the solo project One Cool Guy.
