Stone Phillips is a television reporter and journalist from the United States. He is best known as the former co-anchor of the newsmagazine TV show Dateline NBC. He's also acted as a replacement anchor for NBC Nightly News and Today, as well as a moderator on Meet the Press.
He was an ABC News correspondent for 20/20 and World News Tonight before joining NBC. Phillips' clear delivery and seriousness, which he satirized in appearances on The Colbert Report, have been mocked. Phillips was one of Colbert's numerous guests for the series' last episode's sing-along.
