At STOMP, an inventive and engaging stage production that combines dynamic music and spectacular performance in one jolting rhythm, matchboxes, brushes, garbage jars, Zippo lighters, and more fill the stage with powerful rhythms. In the middle of 1991, in Brighton, England, a unique fusion of percussion development and visual satire was created in STOMP.

It was the result of a lengthy collaboration between its creators, Luke Creswell and Steve McNicholas. They started working together in 1981 as members of the concert hall group Cliff Hanger and the touring band Pookiesnackenburger. Through the middle of the 1980s, these events collectively launched a series of musical road satires at the Edinburgh Festival.
