Steve Spurrier is a former American football player and coach. Spurrier took over as the primary trainer for three schools and two expert groups. He was also a champion high school football player who spent ten years playing professionally in the NFL.
Spurrier stepped down as an instructor in 2015 and is now an envoy and adviser for the University of Florida's sports department. Spurrier attended the University of Florida, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 1966 and was a consensus All-American in 1965 and 1966. In 1986, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
