Steve Rubel is an advertising executive and a seasoned blogger. While working with CooperKatz and Co., he advised clients on how to use web journals into their business strategies, and in 2004, he launched his own blog Micro Persuasion. His blog focuses on the influence of blogging on the advertising sector.
Rubel joined the Edelman advertising business in February 2006 to help it make better use of web journals. Later, the company was investigated after one of its clients, Wal-Mart, paid for a couple to write about their cross-country RV trip, during which they stopped at local Wal-Marts.
