Steve Ferreira is my name, and I was born with cerebral palsy. I determined when I was 15 years old that I wanted to do everything I could to make a difference. I believed I could have a beneficial impact not only on disabled people's lives but also on everyone else's.
As a result, I began giving talks at local high schools about what it's like to live with a handicap. I've given over 150 presentations at over 20 different area high schools so far. In addition, I've spoken at an eighth-grade graduation ceremony as well as events hosted by local Kiwanis and Rotary clubs.
