Stephen Antonio Cardenas is an American martial artist and actor, renowned for his role as Rocky DeSantos, the second Red Ranger in "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," and later as the Blue Zeo Ranger in "Power Rangers Zeo." His character replaced Jason Lee Scott as the Red Ranger and became a defining part of his acting career.
Originally from Texas, Cardenas moved to Los Angeles at age 20 to pursue acting, landing the role in "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" without previous acting experience. He eventually left the series during "Power Rangers Turbo" due to contract disagreements and to focus on his martial arts career. Cardenas owns a martial arts studio in Burbank, California, and one in his hometown of San Antonio. He is a prominent figure in the martial arts community, particularly in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, where he has earned multiple awards, including two Silver Medals at Copa Pacifica and a Gold Medal at the American National Championship.
