Shlomo Goldberg was born in Haifa, Israel, to a Romanian mother and a Hungarian father who had immigrated to Israel. He was a child actor who appeared in the 1968 film Tarzan and the Jungle Boy. He replicated himself in America in the mid-1980s after performing his obligatory military service for the state of Israel.
On General Hospital, he became a daytime TV entertainer. Bond was bare chested for a pin-up divider poster in 1984. He married in 1982 and had a daughter. In 1989, he was cast as Mack Blake in the daytime soap Santa Barbara, where he stayed for one year.
