Stephen S. Roach is a senior fellow at Yale University's Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and a member of the Yale School of Management faculty. He formerly served as Morgan Stanley Asia's Non-Executive Chairman (a position he held after serving as managing director and chief economist of Morgan Stanley). Mr.
Roach was Vice President for Economic Analysis at the Morgan Guaranty Trust Company in New York before joining Morgan Stanley in 1982. From 1972 to 1979, he worked on the research staff of the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. He had previously worked as a research fellow at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. Mr.
