Steve Crawford is a GWIPP Research Professor. Previously, he was CFED's Vice President for Policy Research and a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution; Deputy Director of the Brookings Metropolitan Policy Program; Director of the National Governors Association's Social, Economic, and Workforce Programs; and Executive Director of Maryland's Governor Workforce Investment Board.
He also taught at Bates College and the University of Maryland, as well as serving as the executive director of research institutes in College Park, MD and Cambridge, MA, and as an assistant dean at the University of Pennsylvania.
