Stephen Collins is most known for his role as Reverend Eric Camden on the television show 7th Heaven, but he also starred in Star Trek: The Motion Picture as Captain/Commander Willard Decker. Catherine Hicks, a fellow Star Trek veteran, plays Rev. Camden's wife, Annie (who played Dr. Gillian Taylor in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home).
He grew up in the town of Hastings-on-Hudson, New York. He received his bachelor's degree with honors from Amherst College. Eye Contact (1994) and Double Exposure (1995) are his two books (1998).
