Dr. Stephen Barrie is a physician, clinical medical researcher, educator, innovator, author, and entrepreneur who has worked all over the world. Dr. Barrie is presently employed by Viome, a microbiome startup that aims to make the chronic disease a choice for people. Dr.
Barrie was a co-founder of the Great Smokies Medical Center in the mid-1980s and specialized in integrative medicine and clinical ecology. In the United States, GSMC was the first big integrated anti-aging medical facility. He founded Genova Diagnostics (www.gdx.net), the world's biggest Functional Medicine clinical reference laboratory for physicians, in 1986 and served as its founder and former CEO/Chairman.
