His firm designed a few compositional structures in Italy (most notably the Bosco Verticale in Milan, which won the International Highrise Award in 2014), elsewhere in Europe (for example, at the Villa Mediterrane in Marseille), and as far away as China, where he designed the Centro Polivalente in Changchun.
He is a Town Planning instructor at the Politecnico in Milan, as well as a visiting professor at Harvard GSD Strelka/Moscow l'Ecole Polytechnique de Lausanne and the Berlage Institut. He directed the global magazine Domus from 2004 to 2007 and the global magazine Abitare from September 2007 to April 2011.
