Stefan Larsson is a managing director and senior partner at BCG's Stockholm office. He leads BCG's Health Care Payers and Providers sector globally. Since 2010, Stefan has been a BCG Fellow. His research focuses on value-based health care, or how transparency about health-care outcomes and patient-group costs will promote healthcare system reform.
As part of a series of presentations selected by TED and BCG, he gave a TED talk on the topic, What Doctors Can Learn from Each Other. In the industrialized world, healthcare expenditures account for 9 to 18 percent of GDP, and they have increased two to three times faster than economic growth over the last 20 years.
