Stasi earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from San Diego State University, which she chose since it was close to the ocean. Her junior year of college, she became a Christian and joined Campus Crusade for Christ. Stasi joined Youth for Christ after graduation, where she oversaw a ministry to pregnant teens and teen moms.
