Stacy L. Pearsall began her career as an Air Force photographer when she was 17 years old. During her service, she went to over 41 countries and completed the Military Photojournalism Program at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
She received the Bronze Star Medal and an Air Force Commendation with Valor for her brave acts under fire during three combat deployments. Combat crippled and discharged from the military Pearsall continues to work as a freelance photographer across the world, as well as being an author, educator, military consultant, public speaker, and the founder of the Veterans Portrait Project.
