Sophie Winkleman is an English actress and the wife of Lord Frederick Windsor, Prince Michael of Kent's cousin, and Queen Elizabeth II's cousin. Sophie Lara Winkleman was born in London's Primrose Hill. She went to the City of London School for Girls and Trinity Hall, Cambridge, to study English literature.
She became a member of Cambridge Footlights, the university's dramatic organization, and wrote and participated in the comedy revue Far Too Happy. The Footlights was nominated for a Perrier award for the first time in twenty years. Winkleman is also a National Youth Theatre member. She sings in the soprano range.
