SoMo (Joseph Somers-Morales) is an American R&B and Pop singer-songwriter from Denton, Texas. He began his professional music career in 2011, achieving fame on YouTube with the production of original music and popular cover songs by recording artists such as Chris Brown, The Weeknd, and Drake.
He acquired a recording contract with Republic Records in 2013 and remastered his 2012 mixtape My Life and breakthrough song Ride. On April 8, 2014, his self-titled first album SoMo was released. SoMo and his father used to perform in renowned bars in Austin, Texas.
