Solange Knowles is a model and singer-songwriter from the United States. Knowingles had an early interest in singing and had numerous brief spells with Destiny's Child before joining with her father's Music World Entertainment company. Knowles released her debut studio album Solo Star in 2001, at the age of 16, to moderate financial and critical acclaim.
In 2004 Knowles married Daniel Smith finally giving birth to their son Daniel Julez J. Smith Jr. which spurred a transfer to Idaho. Knowles had numerous brief acting appearances between 2005 and 2007, including the direct-to-video Bring It On: All or Nothing, and continued to write songs for Beyonc and ex-Destiny Child band mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
